Hi,
We need to change our auto archive PST files to a network shared drive location in outlook 2007.
Before applying this settings to all the users, we have configured an TEST OU called IT thru GPO, then under IT=>tools=>Other=> Turned ON auto Archive for 2 Days =>prompt before auto archive runs(enabled);
until this step, it is working.

Then under miscellaneous=>PST Settings=>Default location for PST and OST files enabled and changed to \\ Server Name \Shared Folder \PST\%USERNAME%. However, in Outlook auto archive location doesn't change, but all other option will be changed as we set in GPO.

Accordance to some work around , we have altered registry entry to do "ForcePSTPath" using GPO,
The first try was,
HKEY_CURRENT_USER=>Software\Microsoft=.Office\12.0\Outlook
Set Default Value to "ForcePSTPath" and value data to \\ Server Name \Shared Folder \PST\%USERNAME%, (but in Windows Vista this entry will be added in to the registry with the correct username, but didn't work in XP),

Then the second try was,

HKEY_CURRENT_USER=>Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\Current Version\Windows Messaging Subsystem\profiles\0a0d020000000000c000000000000046=>REG_EXPAND_SZ=> ForcePSTPath=>\\ Server Name \Shared Folder \PST\%USERNAME%, (but in Windows Vista this entry will be added in to the registry with the correct username, but didn't work in XP),

In above both cases, the PST default location never change to the network locations,
We have got Windows 2003 Server, XP and VISTA PC`s in our network.

Does anyone can help us to solve this issue please,

I can't help fix the problem, but are you aware of this Microsoft KB article- http://support.microsoft.com/kb/297019

Basically, storing PSTs on a network share is not supported and can cause huge problems (server hosting them becoming very unresponsive for all users, not just those with PSTs)This probably won't be an issue if you only have a small number of users but can be a major problem for a large number.
