Have windows small business server 2003 SP2 with all updates applied.
Also Have a windows 2003 standard server with active directory
replicated Just added a Windows server 2003 Standard server as a
terminal service.

Goal: to create a Group Policy to lock down the terminal server.

Problem: Several items under the GPOE are no longer there and I cannot
figure out how to make them come back

When I began I created a new Organizational unit named TSERVER and mover
my terminal server into it. I created a new Policy and began making
some changes as instructed in an article I found. Only made a few,
Like removing control panel from view and them tested. I used GP update
to push out the policy and everything looked fine.

Then I went back to edit the policy further and most of the items under
Administrative templates we gone. what I was left with looks like this

Administrative Templates
Windows Components
NetMeeting
Windows Media Player
Windows update

So I just decided to start over. I deleted the policy, deleted the org
unit and recreated. Still I just had the same items missing.

I have read many Articles.
One asked me to remove filters
One asked me to re register some DLL files
One Asked me to download, install and import ADM files

I have tried all three

Two odd things I observed:

When I try to import the new ADM Files, They have a date that is older
that the ones I have now. I overwrite but it does not seem to be
taking. I close our and go back in and the admin files show the same
date and before I imported.

Also I have a lot on entries in sysvol. I even have a sysvol folder
inside my sysvol folder

This One is driving me crazy: Any Ideas?

Bob-

When you create new GPO (at least on XP or Server 2003), the ADM files are
copied up to SYSVOL from the local c:\windows\inf folder on your machine
where you're editing the GPO. What is looks like below is that you are
missing system.adm, which contains most of the settings in these OS
versions. Check the copy of that file in c:\windows\inf and see what size it
is and if it contains a bunch of entries. It should be over a MB in size. I
would start there and lets see if we can't get you back to functioning.
