The GPTalk Mailing List

The GPTALK mailing list is where you can send and receive email related to Windows Group Policy. You must subscribe to the list to send and receive mail from the list. The purpose of the list is to provide a forum for asking and answering technical questions related to Group Policy. Any question is fair game as long as it is related to Windows Group Policy.  The Archives for this list can be found on this page.

Okay, this aggravates me. I had fooled with proxy settings and now I
want GP to leave proxy settings alone and let the user configured
settings stay. It seems that over time users will lose the setting as if
the "Use a proxy server for your LAN" was never checked. What we have
here is only some users are allowed to use the proxy
so I don't want to configure a proxy for all users. Just want to let the
user configure a proxy and have
it stick.

I don't have Enable Proxy settings checked in the GPO. If I check it and
don't put in a proxy then users
get a blank proxy address. I don't see why I am losing the user created
proxy.

Ideas?
