| All,
I've seen it written a few places on the web, as well as our list, that installation of the GPP CSE removes the old DesktopStandard PolicyMaker extensions. Based on some testing I just did, that doesn't appear to be true.
Scanning through the registry at HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon\GPExtensions, I see both sets of CSEs happily coexisting. Can anyone else verify?
My organization is getting ready to cutover to GPP and if we can do so while maintaining our current set of PolicyMaker GPOs, I would be extremely happy. It would make the transition much smoother. J
Regards,

When I last talked about this with the product team, they confirmed that PolicyMaker extensions should be removed, so not sure what exactly it is that you're seeing there. Are the DLLs underlying those old PolicyMaker extension GUIDs still installed as well?

| Disregard. Although the GPExtension GUIDs are still present in the registry, I did confirm that the GPP CSE install removes the PolicyMaker client from Add/Remove Programs as well as the polprocl.dll file from C:\WINDOWS\System32.
...I should have checked first before assuming they were still there. Doh.
