I am trying to move from our current log-in Scripts to using
Preferences. I created a testing script linked just to me for my
testing. I have 10 different drives set up and they all seem to create
properly when I look at them. But I get a balloon window that tells me
that it couldn't create all my drives click here to see the problem.
When I click, they all look fine and work as advertised.

Is there a log or somewhere else that I can look to try and find out why
this is happening? I would like to keep moving with converting all the
different Groups in our office to using these, but don't want any errors
to pop up (even if it isn't really an error).

Thanks for any help you can give me.

Tim

On Win7 GPOs run asynchronously while on pre-Vista systems they waited for
the previous script to finish processing before kicking the next one. so it
might be that explorer.exe is showing up too early.

I would give it a try changing Computer Configuration\Administrative
Templates\System\Scripts\Run startup scripts asynchronously = Disabled that
will take me back to the previous GPO processing behavior.

Tim just thinking from a different angle here. I have seen shops that are
trying to map up to 18 drives before with a lot of issues. Why not map to a
single drive and use NTFS and ABE to control further access? Makes DFS work
a lot better as well...

Just .02 to consider...
