The GPTALK mailing list is where you can send and receive email related to Windows Group Policy. You must subscribe to the list to send and receive mail from the list. The purpose of the list is to provide a forum for asking and answering technical questions related to Group Policy. Any question is fair game as long as it is related to Windows Group Policy. I am trying to set a GPP for IE home page (User Config>Preferences>Control Panel Settings>Internet Settings), but even though I typed in the home page URL, the home page does not change after the GPO is applied. I also made 2 other small changes in this policy and they both work so I know the GPO has applied, however the home page change does not work. Soooo, I went to User Config>Policies>Windows Settings>Internet Explorer>URLs, and entered the home page, and that works fine! I want this to be a preference so the user can change it if need be and I was wondering what I was doing wrong since it appears to be an option under preferences, and it allows me to enter the URL and save it, but it does not change the home page.
