hi,

we have an ou with a gpo linked that sets loopback, and we have ie
maintenance settings defined in the default domain policy.

now what i'm seeing is when i do an rsop on one of the computers in this ou,
the proxy settings which are defined in the default domain policy, are being
displayed, but the winning gpo is a gpo that has no ie maintenance settings
defined. in fact, below the default domain policy, there are no ie
maintenance settings defined in any gpos.

i have verified precedence, i have run policy reporter 4 to validate the
userenv.log, which seems fine. and the winning gpo doesn't have any
install.ins file in its directory so it certainly doesn't seem to have any
ie maintenance settings.

any ideas?

daniel.

What does the actually registry say? And also, what does the proxy
settings in 'Internet Options' say?
