They are both checked. Should I uncheck the server revocation check?

Yes, it is setup to auto-enroll. Yes, the CA is in our trusted root store. Thanks for the info. I will take a closer look at the IE 8 settings. To start with I just set the GPO up exactly like my IE 7 one.
Thanks everyone for the help.

Hi Mary,
Also, when you say 'AD generated' you mean that GPO is configured to auto-enrol for certs? IE is much stricter with check CRL and certs chaining. Are these certs issued form a CA whose certs is in your machines trusted root store?

Subject: [gptalk] IE 8 and certificates

My company uses an AD generated certificate to allow employees to access SAP to input work hours, or reprint pay information and W2s. I've had this issue twice now where I upgrade to IE 8 and a few days later I get the message "There is a problem with this website's security certificate". The first time this happened I re-installed IE 8 and the certificate was fine. Now, a few days later and I get this message again. I have looked at my GPO and cannot see anything set incorrectly. Since I know the cert is good I'm suspecting the GPO. I apologize if this has been brought up before. I am working on several projects and have just been saving your emails for when I have time to read them. ;-)
Thanks for any help you can provide.

Mary Winter
