I am trying to install Quicktime with the computer configuration on
Group Policy.

I have extracted the *.MSI file

Then I am using:

Computer Configuration/Policies/Software Installation/Assign

For some reason Quicktime Ver. 7.0 will not install on the test machine.

When I see GP results I am not seeing anything in Policy Events that
indicate Application Management having a problem installing QuickTime.

I am able to install other applications this way without problems.

Has anyone had experience pushing out QuickTime with Group Policy?

Thanks in Advance

Thanks,

There was a problem with one version of Quicktime where the MSI had the wrong language setting. When you create the software installation, there's an option something like "ignore language setting" and it was necessary to tick this to get it to install.

Thanks for response,

I tried that one a couple of times, did not seem to make a difference.
I finally ending up making a bat file and adding it as a user
configuration login script. I noticed the Apple site is only allowing
the QuickTime installer to drop down with ITunes as part of it. A quick
unzip with WinZip allowed me to only use the QuickTime.msi.

Seems to be working ok for now.

Thanks,
