| Hi all,
I have a query. Is it possible to retrieve the values from the administrative template programatically. I wanna retrieve the values stored in GptTmpl.inf programatically.The GptTmpl.inf file is stored in the Sysvol folder of the domain controller. Please help me with the interfaces to access the folder programatically.Please help asap.

| Hi Brett,
My program PolMan does, but I suspect you want a more generic way of doing
it. It will recover all of the settings, display them on the screen and then
allow you to export them to an Excel Spreadsheet. If it is a one of job,
feel free to download the program and make use of the 30 day free trial.
If you are interested I can send you a cut down version of the program, but
it will cost you! What do you want to do with it once you have read it?

I'm a little confused by your request since you talk about Admin Templates
but then you mention GPTTmpl.inf, which stores security settings. Which are
you after? In any case, it is possible to get at both programmatically,
since that is what my company's GPExpert Scripting Toolkit
(www.sdmsoftware.com/group_policy_scripting) provides (interfaces into GP
settings).

I withdraw my suggestion that Polman will help!
It does read the GPTTmpl.inf file and use it to interpret the settings in
the GPO, but I suspect you wish to read all of the entries in the
GPTTmpl.inf and then use them in some way.
I would go with Darren's software!
