To All,
I'm having issues disabling Credential Prompts in Vista. Is there a way to stop the prompt when going to an intranet site or a site that requires authentication. I'm not at the domain level, so I do not know how the their policies are set. I have enabled "Automatically Detect Settings" in the GPO, but that seems not to work. This is different than the "SharePoint Credential issue" I have resolved that, but similar to it.
Most of the articles I read says, it's a domain issue. Can this be the problem?

| It all depends if and how UAC is being configured by Group Policy. See the following link for details:

| Oops, I totally misread that question in my first response. Thought it was a UAC related one.
Even if you've specified the "Automatic logon with current username and password" setting for a zone, you are still going to get asked for credentials whenever the account you're browsing with doesn't have the rights. Either that or IIS authentication is not configured appropriately for the site. Of course, that is outside of the Group Policy realm though.
