The GPTALK mailing list is where you can send and receive email related to Windows Group Policy. You must subscribe to the list to send and receive mail from the list. The purpose of the list is to provide a forum for asking and answering technical questions related to Group Policy. Any question is fair game as long as it is related to Windows Group Policy. Ken, that is how Group Policy always worked. You need user and computer objects in the OUs you link your policies to - groups of all kinds are not "accepted" as targets of Group Policies in OUs. I then created a Universal Security Group called, SBSAccess, inside the SBSOfficers OU. I then added GIJoe and GIJane to the security group, SBSAccess. I then opened up GPMC and created a new GPO, Screensaver Test Policy. Changed screensaver settings. Linked it to SBSOfficers. Now if I run Modeling, The screensaver GPO doesn't show up anywhere. If I change Filter setting to SBSAccess and give it read, and apply GPO rights , No difference. If I move GIJoe and GIJane into SBSOfficer OU. It works!!! Why can't I use a group here instead of adding individual users?
