Hi,

I have tried to disable the Windows Error reporting from Win XP clients with
Windows 7 RC GPMC under Computer Configuration\Administrative
Templates\System\Internet Communications Management\Internet Communications
Settings\ "Turn off Windows Error Reporting" -> Enabled. Supported On
information says "At least Windows XP Professional or Windows Server 2003
family" but nothing happens to my Win XP clients when I look at the Error
Reporting settings from "System". Also, when I select this setting, other
setting in Administrative Templates\Windows Components\Windows Error
Reporting\ "Disable Windows Error Reporting" goes automatically to Enabled
state. The support information on that one says: "At least Windows Vista".

I am confused, is it once again false information on "supported on" field,
and I cannot configure error reporting to win xp machines, or something
else. Any help would be appreciated.

Timo-

Ultimately the way you decide if a setting in Win7 RC is valid for XP is to
look at the underlying registry value that gets modified, and compare it to
the value in XP. Otherwise I think you'll tear your hair out trying to
figure out if a pre-release version of the OS is doing the right thing J
