Michael-

What app(s) are you trying to remove My Network Places from? This article
(http://support.microsoft.com/kb/826214) seems to indicate that it can't be
removed, for example, from Office.

Actually yes,

I have the setting to Hide My Network Places icon on the desktop hidden
using:

But, it does not seem to remove the option from the Save As drop down.

I was able to remove the Add Modify FTP locations option from the drop down
using this registry setting:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/835229

I'd rather remove both with a GPO and stay clear away from registry keys if
I can.

TIA!

Michael-

Have you tried just disabling My Network Places from appearing at all, using
GP? I'm curious if this would have the effect of removing it from the
standard file, Save As dialogs.

I've seen this KB to remove Add/Modify FTP Locations from 'Save As'

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/835229

And I can't seem to find a GPO to remove My Network Places from Save As
options

How can I hide/disable the Add/Modify FTP locations and My Network Places in
the Save As drop down?

TIA!

Mike-
