Use a remote iLO or DRAC, etc. and add your account to the remote desktop users and make sure to enable remote desktop (this can be done via GPO as well).

Subject: [gptalk] "The Local Policy of This System Does Not Permit You to Log on Interactively".

Greetings,

I kindly need help and here is my problem,
I tried to logon to our domain controller using the administrator password, however,I could not log on,no administrator could. When trying to logon, the machine would display message:
"The Local Policy of This System Does Not Permit You to Log on Interactively".I used Directory services restore mode and I went to the local policy of the domain controller by running the secpol.msc and removed some junk characters that I saw under "Deny logon locally" and restarted the server and that is when I was now able to logon to the domain controller. The following morning when I tried to log onto the domain controller I got the message "the specified system cannot log you on due to the following error;the specified domain either does not exist or could not be contacted.I tried accessing group policy using the workstation in my office that has admik pack installed and was denied access to the group policy editor of the domain controller.

Please assist, what could be causing this?

Regards,
Babs
