The purpose of the list is to provide a forum for asking and answering technical questions related to Group Policy. Any question is fair game as long as it is related to Windows Group Policy. You can do this using Group Policy Preferences to create a scheduled task to run the defrag command line tool. Obviously the desktops will need the Group Policy Client Side Extensions installed. Something like "defrag /c /x". Open a command prompt and run the command with no switches to get the help on it.
