So..

It appears my issue was I just wasn't looking in the correct place. I
didn't have filters on, but I just needed to look under User instead of
Computer J

Anyway, I'm going to have a good laugh about it. Guess sometimes it helps
to give it a rest and try again with a fresh set of eyes. Thanks to all for
their attempts to help J

Hi Derek,

Can you email me the outlk12.adml and outlk12.admx file directly to
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx ?

In fact, if you could send me a zipped file of the ADMX files and the ADML
files that would be even better.

Thanks Alan -

I don't have filtering turned on. I tried to use your Template Editor and
when I tried to view the ADMX files, I got the following error message for
each one:

Unable to locate Using & Target data for

C:\windows\policydefinitions\excel12.admx

(Since they are now on my local machine)

After clicking OK several times, I get a message that the following files
have duplicate Namespaces - wonder if this is part of it?

Hi Derek,

Are you sure you are actually missing anything? Your original screenshots
were of the machine branch. I opened up Outlk10 and outlk11 admx files and
neither of them have any settings under the machine branch, they are all
under the user branch.

To check if you are really missing anything, you may like to install a copy
of my ADM Template Editor software with a trial licence. This will allow you
to open the admx files and see what is actually in them. If my software
shows you the same info as GPMC then there is something wrong with the admx
files you are using, or you are expecting something that doesn't exist. If
it shows different entries, then you must have filtering enabled.

Derek-

You only need ADMX and ADML files in c:\windows\policydefinitions. Other
files will be ignored. Are you sure you copied the ADMX files into that
folder and the corresponding language-dependent ADML files in the
language-specific folder underneath that?

I'd also say it is the filters. Just to be sure, select and right-click
Administrative Templates, see that the "Filter On" is not selected.

I'm wondering if I missed a step. To do additional testing, I removed from
the central store and installed on my local machine. Here are the steps I
followed:

1. I downloaded the Office Admin templates from here:

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=73d955c0-da87-4bc2-
bbf6-260e700519a8
<http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=73d955c0-da87-4bc2
-bbf6-260e700519a8&displaylang=en> &displaylang=en

2. I copied the contents of the ADM, Admin and ADMX folders to
c:\windows\policydefinitions (I tried just ADMX first which I assume is all
that is needed, but copied the rest after that didn't provide the desired
result).

3. Opened up GP Management, still had the options as stated in the my
original screenshot, although it does say from local machine since the store
is gone.

Is there something I'm not doing?

I do not have any filters on. The only thing I was wondering about is that
I'm editing the policy based on a Windows 2003 Server (I'm editing from a
Vista box, but the policies are based on a 03 server).

Just to clarify -

Error! Filename not specified.

The Outlook 2007 Settings policy is referencing the 03 server. Not sure if
that matters or not.

I setup a central store on my DC's (2003/2008) and verified replication was
working between them. When I open Group Policy Management on my Vista
Workstation, I see that it is grabbing from the central store but it is
obviously missing a lot. I am specifically looking for something in
Outlook, but even those present don't show all the options they should.

Error! Filename not specified.

Any tips on where I may be making a mistake? Here is a screenshot of the
central store directory if it helps -

Error! Filename not specified.

As you can imagine I'm not seeing nearly as much as I should.
